John Cotton Performance Packaging are striving to develop the most innovative and sustainable packaging solutions. Our products are suitable for the transportation of chilled items such as food and pharmaceuticals in the form of liners or pouches and we also offer protective packaging media for the safe transport of fragile items. With a world of fibres to hand, John Cotton are able to offer a range of material types unique to each individual customers’ requirements. Our in house testing facilities allows us to provide valuable testing data on the performance of the product inline with industry standards.
Recycle Recycle Recycle
John Cotton’s core business was founded on recycling textile waste over 100 years ago. Therefore, recycling is inherent to the business ethos. Over 70% of the polyester fibre we use is from recycled plastic and as a group we recycle the equivalent of 2 billion plastic bottles each year.
Where possible, the supply of all other fibre types are the by-product of another textile process such as cotton spinning waste or the offcuts from denim production. We recycle all our own textile waste back into our production system and operate on a zero to landfil basis.
Here at John Cotton we have an inhouse UKAS accredited laboratory where we perform rigorous testing on the performance of our insulated packaging.
In-situ testing to simulate the delivery of food and pharmaceutical products in transit, providing valuable data to support the performance of our products.
State of the art Temperature Chambers
